We enjoyed a pop-up camper for about 25 years, logging nearly twenty-thousand miles and making lifelong memories with our boys. We loved everything about it, except that it lacked a toilet. We wanted a small, lightweight camper that would fit in the garage and avoid those 3 a.m. trips to the porta potty (sometimes in rain, snow, or with the threat of meeting a bear!)
While camping in Utah a few years ago, we saw an Alto Safari 1713 and fell in love with it. It is a teardrop camper with a roof that raises and lowers for super easy setup. It has lots of windows that make you feel like you are in a treehouse. Bonus, it has a tiny bathroom! The campers are made in Canada.
We drove to Quebec City to pick up our new home, and planned our epic road trip around this journey.
Our new camper needed a name, and we decided on a name relating to its snail logo. We christened it EscarGo (like escargot, or snail.) It seems like a good fit as we begin our snail track journey. Thanks for joining us as we begin this new chapter!
