Delaware Elderberries

Delaware Elderberries

October 29, 2024 – Our epic road trip is winding down, so we tried to make the most of our last few quick stops. We spent a night near Lincoln, Delaware, at The Pressed Elderberry Farm. This farm is an official Harvest Host camping site.

Our camping spot at the Pressed Elderberry Farm, a Harvest Host site

For those not familiar with Harvest Hosts, you pay a small yearly fee to access a network of more than 5,000 farms, wineries, breweries, and other properties that are willing to allow campers to stay the night. Campers must be self-sustaining, as there are no facilities or electrical hookups available. The camping is free, but as a courtesy you are encouraged to purchase something to support the local business. https://www.harvesthosts.com/how-it-works

The Pressed Elderberry Farm is a beautiful family owned farm with super nice hosts. They gave us a short tour of their property, and we learned all about elderberries and their role in boosting immune health. The farm produces elderberry syrup and other products sold at farmer’s markets or direct from the farm.
